DURATION - ONE YEAR
The Diploma in Library Science (DLS) programme is intended to develop professional knowledge and to impart skills to meet the growing man power needs in library management in school, college, university, Public and special libraries both at Government and non-Government levels
Objectives :
To know the purpose and function of different types of libraries.
Understand the classification of reading material.
Acquaint students with cataloguing and familiarise them with various sections of libraries.
Know the maintenance of a library.
Learn about various types of library records.
